Is it me or the eris is the nicest looking android phone for verizon?

Looking at the other choices right now for Verizon does not seem appealing considering the form factor on the newer phones are pretty shit. The other choice at the time of the eris was the motorolla droid which looked like a fugly brick, then the Droid incredible with its crazy square back. Even the most recent phone, the Droid X fails in comparison to the eris's sleek appeal.

Who's with me?

the most beautiful android is the worst working one while the ugilest seems to have the best working phone

this of course is a matter of perspective...... I personally havent had any complaints about my phone........ I think its a great working phone..... its easy to believe that the small percentage of eris owners who populate these forums..... and among those the percentage who have had major issues.. is indicative of the phone in general....

also if you goto droid forums there are just as many problems and complaints...... same with the incredible and every other phone out there....... even the droidX has already had a fair share of issues already and its just out of the gates

as far as the sleek beautiful design of the eris..... its the main reason many people bought it over the droid to begin with.... myself included... I cant stand those huge ugly squares..... HTC really should have continued this design with upgraded components

You think the droid x is ugly? Holding it in my hands made me feel so incredibly sexy... and I'm already really really sexy ;)

Holding the Droid X in my hands felt like lugging around a netbook !

Spent a total of 3 mins. at the Verizon store , back in Nov. handling the Droid and the Eris. The Eris felt perfect, the Droid fely like a cheap chunk of plastic................I walked out with the Eris and even with it's issues, still really like it !

I was amazed at how huge the new phones are. The Eris is still the lightest and most unobtrusive of all the Androids I've seen. I've already BTDT with the TouchPro2 -- a WinMobile monolith. Eris fits in my pocket, and won't break my foot if i drop it.

There ya go... it meets my criteria. :D

BTW - despite many problems which popped up after the 2.1 OTA, a replacement phone did the trick. No problems -- except those occurring as a result of my own ineptitude.

the one thing i'm totally gonna miss about the eris when i get the inc is the two hard buttons, and the light up trackball...i love the fade in/out of that light on there....gonna be so stupid on the INC just trying to see if i see some dumbass little green light blinking lol

yea, i prefer the send and end/power buttons. more phones need this imo.

I got mine about three weeks ago. I had to decide between it, the Inc, or wait a bit for the X. Honestly, I was a bit nervous after reading about some of the problems, but the Inc has problems, too, and I figured I'd feel a little less bad about potential problems if I paid less for the phone. :D The form factor was the selling point for me. It feels way more solid than the Inc, and fits better in my hand than a larger phone. (I have small hands, even for a girl.) I love my phone! :)

Eris Vs Droid, Devour, Ally...Eris hands down...i hated my eris because it was sooo freaking slow

but i hated my droid which was a lot faster and responsive because it was so ugly

I tolerated the eris just because it is so sleek and cute
the devour and the droid are ehhh but the devour looks better than the droid

But i don't think my droid X is ugly...A little thick but thick is in these days

The incredible would be Verizon's best phone if it wasn't for that ******ed back

1)Droid X and it's junk in the trunk hump
2)Incredible
3)Eris
4)Ally
5)Devour
6)Droid

I'm with you on the Eris nice looks.

Also, mine has functioned with no issues since the day I first powered it up back in January, through 1.5, the 2.1 OTA and now rooted.

However, when it comes to declaring something "ugly," such as the Droid, that's in the eye of the beholder as much as beauty.

I think it's a draw between the Eris and Incredible looks wise. I have no issues with the back of the Incredible, but I don't like the fact that it has no trackball or physical call buttons. The Incredible is a better size, with a nicer bigger screen, in my opinion. The Incredible is also blazing fast.

The Incredible wins for me as the best all around Android phone on VZW. However, since I've rooted my Eris and installed White Widow, it's a completely different phone. Right now I couldn't be happier with my Eris. I was considering getting an Incredible, but I'm going to stick with my Eris for now since the amazing performance boost I got with White Widow.

Same here. I've never had any major issues with my Eris. Now that I've rooted and overclocked, I'm glad I didn't buy the Droid (which was my only other option at the time).

I still think the Eris is the nicest looking of all the phones and nice and compact. Of all the new phones out I think if my Eris was not running so smooth with KayosfroyoV24, I would lean to the Droid X. My friend just got his and it is a beautiful phone and very fast, just a little too big. I think like anything else it would grow on you and size would not be an issue.:D:D:D:D:D
