Help Motorola T305 BT Car Speakerphone + Incredible

Folks, I have dug relentlessly through the forum and Googled quite a bit, but can't seem to find an answer for this, so I hope you'll humor me.

I have an older Motorola T305 Bluetooth Car Speakerphone that I use in the rare event I need to take a call in the car. I've successfully paired the Incredible and I can dial on the phone itself and use the adapter for the most part.

What I can't figure out is how to get the phone to go to voice prompts when I press the "talk" button on the T305. I have had this unit paired with "dumb" phones aplenty - everything from an older RAZR, an LG ENV2 to a Moto W755. With every other phone, when I hit this button, I get a voice prompt that says "Please say a command". At that point I can either say "call" or "dial", but that doesn't seem to be the case with this phone.

Is there any app I need to run, or is this just a setting on the phone that I'm missing?

Perhaps I just need a newer Bluetooth car adapter, not sure. But I would very much appreciate some guidance.

And if this is a dumb n00b question and I just haven't dug thoroughly enough, please go easy on me :D

Well from what I have read and what I remember from this forum. That I believe it is one of the first complaints, is there is no voice dialing. Do not take my word for it as I do not have the phone yet. But that is what I am understanding from some of the complaint threads I have read. Someone much more informative will help you soon I am sure.

This is HUGE with me! I use this feature regularly and really can't believe that my new Incredible doesn't support voice commands. HELLO!! Driving while using a cell phone is illigal in a lot of states now and it's just a matter of time(Not to mention common sense!) before the others follow suit!! I can't be the only one just blown away by this OVERSITE by Android!! REALLY disapointed by this. :( (sniff, sniff...) Ok, sorry, I feel better now. LOL

It is certainly an oversight, but not all Bluetooth adapters rely on the phone to do all of the voice command recognition. So, in those cases, it should be fine. Of course, you can always answer calls handsfree, you just can't voice dial, so it's not a showstopper.

Froyo (Android 2.2) is rumored to be coming out for this model in August. As I understand it, voice dialing will be included.

Also, Android is a product of Google. If your Camry is defective, you wouldn't say Camry is at fault, you'd say Toyota is.
