I have 2.1 installed as well as LeshaK .LK2.02 - Root --- I've tried downloading a few live wallpapers and themes and they install on my Spica without errors. Problem is I don't see where to apply them for use and when I go to wallpapers from home screen only the 3 default pics are present. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Cent

You need all LiveWallpaper files. How are you installing them?

The file Paths are as follows.

/system/app
LiveWallpapers.apk
LiveWallpapersPicker.apk
VisualizationWallpapers.apk

/system/lib
libRS.so
librs_jni.so

Hi Beerkan
I transfered the files over to my sd card. I'm using the Astro file manager. I select the files to be copied to the folders you mentioned but the /system/app and /system/lib folders in the root of the phones file system seem to be protected and I can't copy or move anything from my sd into them. Is there some other application I should use to by pass the folder protection?

Thanks anyways Beerkan but the tutorial it seems was written for XP and I'm on Windows 7. The files to download have changed since the tutorial was written. When I run Eclipse I get virtual machine path errors. Even the newer java version installs into a different directory than the one written in the tutorial. I did the enviroment variables change for Android SDK as required. I'll googgle and keep looking.

I finally had some free time to look into this further. Download Android SDK and extract to a folder on your PC. Go to the Environmental Variables window on your PC, in the System Variables pane, scroll down to Path. Double click on it to edit it. Scroll all the way to the right side of the value, and add ";c:\android\tools" (or the absolute path to your tools folder).

Open a cmd prompt window and type

Code:
adb shell remount rw
This will temporarily give you access to the system folder on your phone untill next reboot.

Code:
adb push <application_name>.apk or file /system/? folder
Make sure that you're in the folder (on the PC) that contains the app/files you wish to install and move to your phone.

You need to copy these files to your phone. You will need root access, and will need to enable r/w access before copying these.

However. If you've rooted your phone using my Root guide I have a single file that will install LiveWallPapers using the Apply Any Zip update.

I will add this info to the root guide thread.

Hi, any chance of that file getting uploaded please?

P.S, Does anybody know how to use root manager to install Livewallpapers?

for live wallpapers i moved all files(mentioned in thread) inside system/app and system/lib using adb push file* path but getting live wallpaper only in locked screen.

If somebody can help on this.

Plz upload the livewalpaper zip files containing all files if possible
