I was looking at my wife's EVO and realized she still has the software number 1.32.651.1. I tried to check for "HTC software update" but nothing is popping up. It is saying that the phone is up to date. I did previously rooted with unrevoked. Does anyone have any thoughts of how to get it to update to version 1.47.651.1?

Thanks

From my understanding if your phone is rooted u can't get updates, you have to wait for a rooted update.

This does not apply in this case... I assume that he used the first unRevoked to root which was just an application on your phone that gave you SU Perms. This should not have any impact on OTA updates. Only full root would have on impact on OTA.

I haven't updated yet either but thinking about it now with Unrevoked3 out

or maybe I should just do the SimpleRoot method

I just don't know if this update is worth it. heard so many complains after users updated their EVOs

anyways, when cyanogenmod fixes 4G, FM and HDMi in his Froyo ROM I'm getting it (even though I will miss Sense)

I just got my brand-new Evo yesterday afternoon. It has Ver. 1.47.651.1 on it.

I have been looking for an Evo locally for the past month, went to the local Sprint store (not a Sprint owned store) to take a look at the new Samsung Android, and there was a sign on the door stating they had Evo phones in stock. I went in, and ended up with their last one.

So far, works and sounds great. I am really impressed.
