Help anyone else on three network

I am and my local 3 shop monkey just looked confused when I asked about an update. I can never understand what apu is saying so won't even bother calling them.

My phone was on build number R1****14 and I gave up waiting and just rooted to get the latest update but this will void your warranty and will be a bit of a faff to go back when the re OS update comes out.

As I have said on other threads, I wont link to any how to's as if you can't google for it I doubt you can root :)

hi there,

im on three network and wondering if anyone else out there is on three, seems to be a day in age waiting for the update, and cant get any sense from three when it would be coming, ?

same as me! i rang but they were clueless! i updated to rxxxxx20 through pc companion.

3 ireland dont sell phone anymore (not on website) so i'm seriously considerin rootin. not as if I'll be gettin and tech help from them!

to root or wait - decisions decisions!

There has been some success with people using the repair phone option on the PC Companion support service and that gives the latest firmware when everything else says you are up to date. You do have to back everything up first tho, cos I think it pretty much factory resets your phone. People are up to R2BA026 now so R1...14/16 is quite a ways behind.

mite be worth a try for me then, the phone was on o2 but its unlocked with me three sim in there,
is there any was of me backing up all the settings too as i had to put them in manuelly which is a pain in the arse, bien three never gave me the rite settings in the first place, i had to mess around wif it for couple hrs to find um,
could it be the fact the handset was o2 origanlly ? ? ?
