So i was thinking to myself about getting a wifi ipad and just tethering it to nexus for on the road fun trips. Movies and surfing the web and such... i actually dislike mac products i had an iphone 3g and tossed it as soon as i could get a good android phone and now i'm considering another product from the "magic makers"...

punch me in the face... maybe i'll just wait a year or so till they actually make it better w/ a camera and stuff. I despise apples planned obsolescence.

What about an Android Tablet? There's a few on the market now...at least you can multitask with them...the iPad is simply a big ass iPod touch. I see a tablet to be a cousin to a computer and should do what most things a computer can do.

yeah maybe i'll wait till a better one for android comes out and see what happens.

i think the thing i'm drawn to the most is the battery life, it would be pretty exceptional on trips.

i was looking though, and it's crazy how much cheaper the nexus would make owning such a device... -$130 b/c you don't need 3g and then no monthly data plan... have i mentioned what an incredible device the nexus one is?!?

i keeps blowing me away.

I have been thinking along the same lines, just replace the iPad with and Android power tablet. When a decent Android tablet comes out I am planning on getting one without 3G and just using the N1 as a hotspot. I would like to use and Android tablet over the iPad because I would like to be able to use my apps I already own, plus multitasking is a big plus for me and the ability to surf the web with flash enabled (2.2).

Yeah, dude. I seriously thought you'd go spend $800 on an iPad to use it as a frisbee.

Now who can't detect whose sarcasm? =P

You two bicker like you are married... :p

Although, if you just yank one out of someone's hands and then toss it like a Frisbee, then it does not cost you anything...

Although, it would be entertaining to see if they continue to chase you or nose dive for their iPad... LOL!

Haha... nah, it's all good. It's fun sometimes online in forums, you can't always tell someone's tone or meaning, so it's easy for the conversation to go way out of hand. All fun, though.

I suspect nose dive. A friend of mine bought one when they came out, but sold it within 3 weeks. What did him in was the complete lack of USB support, and that all transfers and such had to go through iTunes. I would have nose-dived for it, for sure... $800... haha
