Click to Call Calendar App

One of the biggest features I miss from my iPhone is the ability to click on phone numbers in my calendar app to call people. This may not seem like a big deal, however, my day is spent doing energy audits in people's homes, and I am constantly calling people from the calender details section. Does anyone know of a calendar that allows you to do this, or is it a problem with Android itself?

It would also be nice if you could long press on the Location area to pull up maps or navigation without having to struggle to remember the info to tell google Nav. Any thoughts?

At least on my Evo...if you use a google account (gmail, google calendar, etc) everything is linked seamlessly. Calender click to maps, nav, and click to call contact. Contacts are also automatically updated on the phone when changed on PC.

You can use a non gmail email address to sign up for a google account as well but not sure how the sync works with that option.

Hmm...on my captivate, it doesn't work that way. I assume that the "calendar" app is the google calendar app, but maybe not? I'm confused because what you're describing has not been my experience with it.

mine works pretty similar to BacchusNC

i enter a event and say where i am going. in description enter phone number and then save.
when i back to the event in calendar it gives various options, click the location to see on googlemaps with option for written directions or sat nav style direction.
click the phone number to call it.
etc

saying this mine is the HTC desire.

are you using a stock google calendar, or is that an htc calendar?

i think it might be htc calendar. but it is just called calendar in apps.

there is a widget which is called calendar (which says made by HTC)

This is my way around the issue. If I put phone numbers, emails and etc in the google calendar box, then it shows up on my phone as a link. Click on it and I'm set!!
