It's finally here! The ubersexy, stormtrooper-esque, Innocase Active redesign arrived in my mailbox today!

I was wondering how it went together because I couldn't tell by looking at the picture.

Turns out there is a silicone case with a hard plastic shell that slides over it.

The silicone case is thicker than my old Rocketfish case and fits very snug (compared to the very loose and cheap feeling Rocketfish).

Build Quality

The best thing about the silicone case is that there is little lip by the camera, so that it keeps it off surfaces to avoid scratches. This same lip is around the kickstand as well.

You put on the silicone case, and then you put the white hardshell on over it.

The volume buttons protrude pretty far out on the silicone case (see pic) and these slide into the hard shell and then the rest of the shell just fits snugly around the silcone.

There is a shiny film inside the white case that you can make out a little in the picture, not sure what this does, maybe helps the case stay in place and not slide around.

The Kickstand

Those of you who actually use the kickstand (I'm not one of them) might be a little disappointed. The case is a bit off balance while using the kickstand. It still stays upright, but it just doesn't feel as solid as before and could probably be knocked over easily.

Comparison To The Other Active Cases
I know the active limited edition had the spider-web design to hold everything in place.

This case fits together very well, but since there is nothing actually locking the case together (if that makes sense) I'll have to see how well everything holds up over time.

Other reviews have said that the white stains easily, that will be something I'll have to check back in about as well.

My Evo

Unfortunately the Evo is my only camera, so I can't get a good picture of the front, I had to use the front camera but my bathroom is kind of dark.

Edit:

The Power Button

The power button is relatively easy to press with the case on. It is easier than with my Rocketfish case, but not as easy as with no case at all.

How is the silicone...is it tight?

Yeah, it's very snug.

I had that cheapo Rocketfish case and it was really loose and the phone moved around in it.

This silicone case that came with the case feels like you could use on it's own if you wanted to.

For all the complaining about the other Seidio cases, they seem to have knocked this one out of the park.

We'll see if I still feel that way a week or so from now though.

Just put mine on ten minutes ago. I agree with the OP it seems like a well made case, but I'm a little disappointed with the overall fitment. I was hoping everything would be more snug, but instead, the outer shell just peels right on and off. I was expecting it to snap on, and for it to be a bear to get off. It does look pretty cool though and all the buttons are fairly easy to press.

I had the black one, but it was EXTREMELY hard to press the power button. I wonder if the white model has updated design under the silicon power button. I believe the Rugged has this new mod. Can you verify, OP?

Not sure what the rugged version is like because I don't have one, but I have had no problems pressing the power button. It is a little more difficult than having no case on it at all, but nothing too extreme.

Hey, all. Just wondering how you all felt about the cases after having had them for a while now. I've been considering getting one but was waiting for reviews to pour in. There just haven't been many.

Does the silicone part wrap around the front of the phone sufficiently to protect the front? Does it seem to be tight still?

Looking for a little update that's all.

Thanks in advance.

Case is still going strong. Everything is still very snug. I did get a couple of minor scratches on the back of the case, but better the case than the phone itself.

I haven't had any problems with the case staining or anything like that, it still looks beautiful.

Also, shipping took about 5 days to get to me in Orlando.

I have this one in Black...i love it....no loosening yet, gets lots of compliments, even dropped the phone once at the supermarket, and no damage!! (not even a scratch on the case!!!)

**does anyone know if you can by just the outer shell..so i can have multi-colors...would be fun to switch it up now and again...

I am not having any issues with power button..(yes, it is easier with a naked phone...)

I thought there was another thread. I got mine in 2 days ago in Burgundy. Very nice looking case but a bad flaw in mine. The skeleton case on the opposite side of the volume rocker can start to come loose pretty easily. I noticed the silicone cut is not a complete straight line, but it is cut more in on the corners. That's the worse place because that's where the ends of the skeleton piece really goes into. Therefore; it doesn't sit flush on the line of the silicone piece. I already filed a refund. Never had to return a case because it didn't fit before, so this is not ideal especially it being a $30 case. I'm using the Amzer Jelly case again for now.

I just got mine. Where they screwed up is they should have put two simulated buttons in the rubber on the oppisite side of the phone like the volume button but smaller one on each end and the shell could have snapped over these and locked the shell to the rubber like it does with the volume buttons. This would keep the case from eaisly slipping off the other side. The hard shell would snap over these dummy buttons to hold it on. This was stupid of them.

Would you guys recommend this case? I have a white EVO with a black Best Buy Platinum case. I love my case but would like something white obviously. I do however want something snug that won't slip, but I like the way this looks. My wife has a regular innocase and I don't like it that much. You input would be helpful thanks.
