verrry nice. I like the multiple sliders... especially the camera slider. Trying to figure out how to reconfigure the sliders right now. Added Beautiful Widgets weather home to the lock screen so far...

edit: Wasn't feelin' it... I like how the stock lockscreen faded, merged, phased or w/e back to the desktop. This lockscreen closed like the apps do (i know, it is an app).
Also there wasnt a need for those sliders since i have the laucherpro dock with most of those things on it.
Lastly, it was kinda choppy at appearing when i hit the unlock button.
so, refund.

Ive had a cell phone for close to 15 years and never once lost one. Its not that I am trusting its that I am careful with my stuff and the password screens are annoying to have to do all the time.

Now that I said this I am probably going to lose my phone tonight.

i too have had cel phones for the past 15 years and never lost one, however i did loose a Dell Axim. ggrrrrr...

With your google password already in the phone, it's linked to waaaaaay to many things to trust it. I also don't trust people not to pick up my phone and play with it.

what about the 99% of the people out that that would find you phone and actually try and give it back? i have actually found a couple phones in random places and called "home" or a recent call and gotten the phone back to the original owner....not easily possible with the lock screen.

I lost my phone in Las Vegas and the guy who found was a businessman from California who was leaving for the airport. He called everyone in my phone until someone knew how to get a hold of me and then he called and left the phone at the baggage claim.

The moral here? DO NOT leave phone numbers of girls you don't talk to anymore in your phone! Especially if their name starts with "A" and they're at the top of the contact list.

While i think your 99% is very liberal, it's not them who i am worried about. It's the 1% who if didn't want to return the phone, could make my life a living hell. You know, locks only keep out the honest people.

Returning the phone to the original owner, simple.. See the big "Verizon" logo on the bottom of the phone, i bet someone at verizon could find the owner.

Just my $.02 .. Then again i'm a network administrator and i always expect the worst.. haha

there are numerous apps out there that allow you to send a txt to your phone if lost and lock it down or erase it.

I have Wave Secure installed on my Phone so that just in case I lose my phone, which to date has never happened, I can lock it remotely through their website. I agree with OMJ, it's just too bothersome to have to constantly unlock my phone.

Agreed another reason I use Wave Secure since it not only locks the phone but puts a message on it with a number to call.


Edit: To stay on topic, I am thinking of trying this app out as it looks very intriguing to me.

Like OMJ i have never lost a cell phone. While password protection is good. i think a good 90% of android users don't use it to unlock their phone so this app is targeted to them. also there are a few apps that allow you to password protect certain data and applications on the phone so they can not be accessed without the passcode.

Additionally, the people that usually steal phones or find them and decide to keep them usually opt to use them. make calls and run up your bill. not put it into Airplane mode so it can do nothing - assuming they even knew how. The whole premise of your argument, and posts, is absurd.

I think you are missing my point. I don't really care about loosing the phone, verizon has more, i'll go buy another one. I care about the data ON the phone.

And i would also argue there is a big difference between "on" and "on the network"

At either rate, i don't care if people use locks or not, it's just not something i'm comfortable with. I have vpn connections, email, contacts, and other stuff that i would rather not rely on "oh s$%%^ i lost my phone god knows how many hours ago, i hope i can wipe it in time !" when a simple screen lock would serve the same purpose.. And to the OP sorry, i don't mean to deter people

I agree with jfe, having some widgets and sliders on the lock screen would be good, however I would also like to have some sort of pattern/code to unlock the phone.
