How does the 24 hour refund work? Say I want to test out Beautiful Widgets and the Weather and Toggle Widget to see which one is better. Can I remove one within 24 hours and get my money back? Does anybody else have experience with both apps? If so, which is the better app in your opinion?

Never tried weather and toggle but BW is awesome in my opinion. You'd be hard pressed to find someone that doesn't like it. There are several threads about BW , you can get more info there.

I will add that I try to stay away from any app that tries to specialize n more than one thing.

BW does one thing, weather and it does it well. Well, I guess that isn't true, BW has the power widgets too. I never have used them so I forgot

I read on Droid Life that the Marketplace would allow us to charge the apps to our monthly Verzion bill. I wonder if this is available yet?
I don't think I'd want that since I like to keep my bill the same each month and I don't want to worry about dealing with a screw up with my bill.

I had never bought an app on my Ipod Touch except for a $1 app... I hated it and had no clue how to get a refund with Itunes and just bit it.

Then I got my DX and bought a $5 app and was disappointed and had no idea about the 24hr refund policy.

Being that it was $5 I was a little more concerned so when I went back to the market to look at the app I bought I saw the uninstall button and the policy. I uninstalled it and got my $5 back in 3 days. Found a better version of the app for $5 and was very satisfied with the whole experience.

Now I won't hesitate to blow some money on apps knowing full well that they have a 24hr money back guarantee if I don't like them.

Since he answered your question about the app, I'll answer question about the refund. Yes I've used it, yes it works. The money came out of my account pretty much instantly, I hated the app so I uninstalled, and in about 3 or 4 days the money was back in my account. No issues.

Hope that helps. =0)

so you just have to uninstall it with in 24 hours?

Never mind I just uninstalled an app that I bought last night (found out I had a free app that does the same thing) and I already got an email saying my order was canceled and my card was not charged. Nice and easy!

I believe there are two methods to get a refund.

1) Keep the original email confirmation that was sent with the purchase. There is usually a link in it to uninstall and get a refund.

2) Go to the App store and look at all your installed/purchased apps. Click on the one you want to uninstall and get a refund. There should be a button to do this.

DONT SIMPLY UNINSTALL IT - just removing it from your phone won't get you a refund. You must request it via one of the above methods.

Make sure you hit "uninstall and refund" in the Android Market. Don't uninstall it from the applications manager in settings.

I just uninstalled from my phone and it refunded me. I used Launcher pro and just dropped in the trash with a long press. Couldn't have been easier.

I was actually looking on the site for the uninstall, and it already had it re-listed to BUY (instead of installed), when I got the email saying my order was canceled and card not charged. Sweet!
