Help get rid of "uploaded by DROID"

Not sure, but why would you want to? Be proud of your phone!

I agree, be proud of your Android.
I love the little icon in the comments on YouTube when you upload a video direct from your phone.

Show your pride wherever you can. I do!

it doesnt bother me

i actually like it

i dont pay too much attention when i post on facebook if it said

via facebook for android
via htc sense
via facebook for iphone(using an itouch)
or whatever

its irrelevant to me

Same here, doesn't bother me. You're already posting what you're doing on FB, so why are you now concerned about privacy relating to what type of device you're using.

So there is no way to turn that off.

I turned off the "sent from my blackberry wireless" on my blackberry for all e-mail traffic.

I would like to do the same for this. I don't advertise for anyone, if I can help it.

Not sure if this works for Facebook, but for email if I go into "Email settings" (press menu button while in email), then select "Compose options". There are options to set the default font, size, style etc., plus more importantly, you can set the Email signature. On mine I changed "Sent via Droid" to "Sent via Droid X". Now when I create a new email it includes the updated signature.

Hope this helps!

For email just edit your signature, this was the first thing I did when I got my phone. For apps, if it has this hard coded and you don't like it, leave a review and mention that, or send a note to the app developer. Lots of these guys are happy to get user input on their programs. As for Facebook, I use gave up on the apps and just go to touch.facebook.com on a web browser instead. Until they fix the contact linking issues this phone has, I'll keep away from having facebook directly on my phone.

I just noticed that my uploaded pics DON'T say this ... and I thought it was weird because my friend has it on all hers. So why does mine not say it?

Are you sure you are using facebook(the one that came with the phone)
or facebook for android
the one from the market

i know when i use facebook for android it will say uploaded from that
when i use bloo, it woudl say via bloo

Hmm I'm not really sure. I usually upload from my gallery, just hit share and then select facebook.
I did try it directly from my facebook app also and either way it doesn't say anything at all under the pics.

I wouldn't say it's fanboy like at all.

When I use my HTC HD7 it will either say via Facebook for Windows Phone or Via Windows phone

Iphones/ipods say via Iphone

Blackberries, Palm and other OS are all the same.

I guess it's just facebook way of showing that the status update or wall comment or whatever is being posted differently than just doing it on a computer.

Just like if you use the browser it will say via mobile web or if you text your facebook updates it will say via text msg

I usually don't pay much attention to it
