Help Oops... Wasn't the charger!

Just wanted to say I'm sorry, and make a public retraction of my earlier thread. Apparently the Sprint car charger was not what caused the problem! Something was wrong with the phone itself. Once plugged in, it would charge for about 10minutes before it began hiccup charging.

The longer it was plugged in, the more often it would go from recognizing the charger, to not recognizing it (this applies to the car charger, wall charger, and USB charger). And eventually, after being plugged in for about 30-45mins, it would stop recognizing the charger all together. Once it reached that point, there was no way to charge the phone without unplugging it for dozens of minutes, and then plugging it back in again to restart the whole terrible process.

This does not appear to have been caused by any app. Because the problem still occurred even when the phone was off. So the charging problem was most likely to actually have been a hardware problem within the phone itself (BTW, I had had the phone for 16days before the problem started).

If anyone else has had this problem, please speak up. However, it seems that this may be a very rare occurrence. Sorry if I made anyone paranoid of the Sprint charger, but still, $30 is ridiculous:p

I've seen them for $8.99 on Ebay

This is off topic, and serves no purpose to the thread. The OP was making a statement that buying the charger directly from the Sprint store cost him $30, and that he felt it was ridiculous, which it is (when buying directly from the Sprint store).

Thank you for the clarification on your earlier thread CriticalCritic.

NP, hopefully anyone else that reads this will pursue a more efficient route and learn from my mistake

Happy to help someone out. Even if it's a little "off topic" Sheesh.
Nah, I don't think it's really off topic. Hopefully someone else will benefit from your suggestion.

I'm considering starting a new thread just for the purpose of specifying 'tips and tricks' for the Moment
(ex. Power cycling=better read on battery, disabling/modifying apps/functions X&Y&Z=better battery life, purchasing car charger from location Q=$savings, Screen protector X=this result and Y=that result... just a comprehensive OP for newbies to this phone that typically do not bother to read the other hundreds of posts in the forum).

If you do go ahead with this idea, and you have several tips and tricks, I can go ahead and sticky it.

And I apologize, MrGadget256, for coming off harsh about the earlier comments being off-topic, if the OP feels the information is on-topic then all is good. I just don't want a thread to start off talking about "A" and end up on Horses... this leads to confusion.
