All day long im looking at it, i have Battery Left and JuiceDefender that im staring at most of the day, im constantly trying to make sure all apps are closed, i look at the wifi settings all the time to make sure its optimal

im losing my mind!

And im on the extended battery lol. I bought this battery so i wouldn't have to even think about my battery! Now by 4pm im at about 40% and i start sweating looking for a charger :(

Then this thing seems to take FOREVER to charge, so instead of charging, it appears to just stop it from decreasing more

sheesh

I know everyone else in the world gets 15-48hrs of battery life, and i am envious of those people. Me? Im at moderate-heavy usage getting a good 4hrs on an extended battery.

Not many apps installed, and im very aware of what is running and draining so i doubt its an app.

Im not even asking for advice, since i've read it all before. Im just ranting, sorry about that

idk man, with 40% you still have a good 4-5 hours left lol

this. And have you ever thought wasting time by checking all those "settings" is draining your battery too?
at 4pm you have 40%. So you still have almost HALF YOUR BATTERY LEFT.
Did you forget about your stock battery too? Switch them out when you need to.

The extended battery sucks. I can go to work at 100% and in 7-8 hours run the entire battery out.

That is with the screen on and the phone being used for most of the time (for games and stuff) but very little internet usage.

I also look at it like this, stock battery is 1300 (should have been at least 1500) and if you double the physical size of the battery (the way the extended battery is) how do you only give your customers 2150? The extended battery should have never been any less that 2600 and even closer to 3000 would have been ideal.

HTC screwed us with the stock battery and screwed us again with the extended battery.

Verizon suggested I buy a second battery and keep it charged up. Hmm... Problem is that there is no charger for just the battery. It would really be inconvenient to be swapping batteries all the time anyway.

I feel like I have a Chevy Camaro with a 5 gallon gas tank. Woohoo!! I hit 100 mph! This is fun .... oops gotta get gas.

Its all about how much you use it...

Just this last weekend I went home to see my family, but forgot my charger. I used the phone to make maybe 5 phone calls and around 20 texts. No internet or other apps at all. I got a total of 52 hours unplugged time out of a 1500 mah tp2 battery.

Now if I were to use the internet constantly, id get maybe 4 hours total...

There are 8,000,000 posts about battery life here, so I'm not gonna get into the basics of battery usage. However, I will say that my battery life has DOUBLED since doing the leaked OTA & installing froyo. I was averaging about 16-17hrs (with a bit left before hitting the charger) on my 1750mAh battery when stock. Over the weekend I was able to get to about 35hrs before I put it back on the charger with about 15% still available. This is with normal usage (exchange, 3 gmail, moderate sms/mms, a bit of browsing, and a few widgets).

Have faith, it will get better.

The Seido Charger charges the battery externally and the phone via usb at the same time. I know your pain I had the DInc for a couple weeks and there I was changing the battery halfway through the day everyday. Sunday I did a full reset and ran just stock apps all day yesterday. Went to work came home and still had battery to spare without a single battery change. This time I'm going to do a slow install of apps maybe I'll get to the bottom of it.

I'm right there with you. I'm coming from a phone that I charged once every two days. Sure it was a text and call phone and that was it. I really hope I see a change in the battery after 2.2 like everyone says.

I bought two batteries and a stand alone charger on Ebay for $10 shipped. It works great. I always have a full battery waiting.

I am so frustrated. I cant even post anywhere about my battery because nobody wants to hear it and they either overlook the post, or flame me for posting yet another battery thread.

Today i took the phone off the charger at 9am, made 1 phone call, checked a few emails, read newsrob for 20min. Then listened to music for 30min. At that time (about 10:30am) i was at 65%

I was at work about 8hrs, using the phone occassionally, checking some emails, pulled up facebook 1 time. No web browsing. BUT my phone is constantly on and off the charger! When i know i wont use it for like 20min straight, i throw it on charger.

Then i got an alert about 8pm that i was at 14% battery, need to plug in

about 8:30 i looked and was at 8%

so i cant say i got 12hrs, because firstly it was on and off the charger all day, and second because i really didn't use it heavy. So wtf??

Im on the seido extended battery, isnt this supposed to be better? Jesus i cant be worrying about my battery so much

I dont want to make another thread, and dont want to be flamed ... so plz be gentle :(

Also im using JD-Pro which is supposedly giving me 1.9x battery life.

Checking your battery every 5 minutes will kill it faster than if you would just leave the thing on standby and only unlock it when you actually want to use it.

I don't get the battery complaints, really. I have my screen at about 50% brightness, do facebook and weather syncing, auto forward all sms and mms to gmail, latitude on, and I'll play Playstation for an hour or two at work, along with ~50 texts a day and random internet surfing, and I always at least get through a day. I usually have an "up time" of about 3 hours during the 8am to midnight stretch, and my battery will usually be in the yellow when I put it on the charger before bed.

Same with me. I don't hold back on it and the stock battery was doing just fine. I upgraded to the HTC 1500mAh just for the extra cushion.

im at full brightness, but screen is never high on the list on my usage chart

It won't be with AMOLED.
