Phone has SOOOO much lag after update

this is getting really annoying, after my update

1.i cant get my cameras to work
2.my phone has so much lag it takes like 30 seconds to get into a text
3. it takes like 30 seconds to send a text as well

i dont know whats going on but if anybody has some suggestions theyd be greatly appreciated.

Hard reset is the answer to all problems.

It's painful, but it solved ALL my problems.

I can stay with unofficial 2.2 until Gingerbread if I want to. That's how smooth it runs.

OTA update or Manual Update? How full is your Messaging? Try deleting some texts. When in doubt backup your apps and Hard Reset after an update just in case things need to be cleared out.

Yup, all your stuff goes bye bye if you hard reset, which is why I advocate trying everything else before hard resets.

Do a backup if you can or at least write down your settings. I personally backup with sprite backup. That's hit or miss sometimes though. Especially from one build to another.

You won't lose what's on your SD card when you hard reset, so back up everything possible, first.

I'm sorry, I find hard to believe that after a hard reset a phone runs "laggy". You just cleared everything and it should NOT run like that.

i log back into google account
i go to text someone same lag

I am just amazed that a Hard Reset went that fast. No reason to get snippy as I would like to help you figure it out. Yes post a video of the Lag so I can see what you are talking about.

im not going to post a video of lag. when i go to type the letters take a few seconds to pop up

when i open a text it takes a few seconds to open up

when i go for example to open the internet it takes very long

the cameras still dont work and im doing another hard reset

Damn dude. I have no idea of what lag is after the Froyo update. I'm using the pre-official update.zip and don't even WANT HTC's "fix" as far as I'm concerned.

Mine is the opposite. No lag at all. Everything moves quicker. Websites load quicker than before. I'm running Launcher.

Probably a bad flash or something... I think its a general concensus that speed is vastly improved.

It seems that by your response you didn't do a correct hard reset before.

How is the phone response now?

And I still don't trust support. I trust people in this forum more than support.

This is the reason I wanted to find out how exactly you achieved doing the hard reset.
