Root VillianROM 10.1.3 to VillainROM 12 Upgrade?

Hi All,

I'm wanting to upgrade from VillianROM 10.1.3 to VillainROM 12 without loosing my Apps and Settings, is this possible or will I just have to use the MyBackup Pro app I purchased from the Market to back up the config instead?

Use titanium backup, but you will need a complete wipe before upgrading.

I once tried Titanium Backup, however I really must have been really doing something totally wrong because it took forever and an ice age to either backup and restore everything, seemed to be a real manual process too from what I remember. MyBackup Pro seems to automate the restoration process very nicely when I last upgraded from Modaco 1.5 to VillainROM 10

the donate version is much quicker. lets you backup/restore apps all in one go.

Yeah, the donate version of titanium backup won't ask you to confirm every app individually.

It also has the advantage, compared to MyBackup, that it will restore all your apps data (and market links too). MyBackup pro can't do that to my knowledge, so everything will be a fresh install.

Because I got frustrated with Titanium (at the time), I decided to purchase the next best thing for backing up Android which was MyBackup Pro. After doing a restore, back in the day... I learned that everything but the kitchen sink gets backed up on the device, even app data and market links!
After installing a new ROM and restore I had everything from before (Home Screen icon/widgets in their correct locations, all apps w/date + market links, settings, Alarms, SMS, Bookmarks, etc, etc...)
