I do not believe this screenshot is real. A few reasons:

1) the clock is already big and bolded which is in 2.2 not 2.1 and if you are at this screen you have not installed 2.2 yet
2) drocap screenshot tool is for rooted users only
3) the battery percentage indicator is for rooted users only and is probably in a custom ROM
Hes right, whats with the 2.2 taskbar, but the update has not yet been installed.

The clock font being bold looking in a screenshot is normal. I just took one of my phone using ddms and it looks bolder than it does on the device.

Battery percentage is not just for rooted users only. There are lots of apps you can buy/download that show you percentage.

I'm not familiar with this 'drocap'.
