Root Any word on next BB release?

I hate to be "that guy" that asks this, but given that I have had little luck with his Froyo ROMs, I really want to try the next one, hopefully built off of the latest base.

Anyone know anything that I should know?


And before anyone says it, I know he is working on other phones and the Droid has now dropped down the list.

I read the same. He's been tweeting that he is actively working on the Droid, and having issues with the X

But he is waiting for the official Froyo release.

I too am looking forward to the BB 0.5.. currently running BB 0.4 and just went through swapping from one droid to the next. I had to send the old one back.. I debated for about a sec if I should not root.. but I like this one too much.. hoping 0.5 is even better

I've been looking forward to Pete's new release for a while now. Problem is, I used Lithium for a day or two and absolutely loved it, and last night I switched the SS 4.6, which is the most amazingly fluid and awesome ROM I've ever used. I trust that Pete can match this, but it's gonna be tough from my experience with Chevy's latest offering so far.

Unfortunately, he hasn't given any sort of ETA, but he's definitely working on it, and now that official 2.2 is out and he's rooted the stock ROM, it's probably well on its way to completion.

I sure wish I had some idea when it was coming. At the same time Pete can do whatever the hell he wants to/doesn't want to do in however long/short he wants to, he has already done so much for my phone so I don't mean this post to disrespect him or all he has done! At some point I might need to look into finding a different ROM, or I'll just wait it out till 0.5 comes. I was planning on just waiting it out b/c i don't have a lot of times to be flashing new ROMs/redo-ing my whole phone and when I flash new ROMs I always wipe everything just to be safe. But I'll be honest, 0.4 hasn't been the most stable Pete ROM for me so I might just have to look at some alternatives! Either way, Pete has done a great job w/ all of his ROMs and I don't want any1 to think I'm questioning that (=

I am also eagerly awaiting the next BB release, but we must keep in mind that Pete does have a life outside of the android world. The fact that BB 0.4 is running great on my phone makes the wait easier!
