Motorola 4 life

Hey I've been using motorolas phones since I got a Silver L6 kinda by accident a few yrs ago. Moved onto Black L7 and then for my most awesome machine the Rokr Z6. Got a 3G card which didn't work in it and then tried the Z8 briefly, but it did not come anywhere close to the Z6, so had to defect for a period and now have finally got my hands on a Moto XT701.

Now this phone is a machine!! Loving it. Never used a software keyboard b4, but it's coming together...Android rocks...so does Motorola for that matter...

While I've got some welcomes, thanks guys, hey I've searched some info on wifi and my personal home network, but can not really find what I'm looking for.

Have played with every setting I know of and getting connected but no action as in data being used. Do you know of any info or where i should look or what search I should be using?

So far have searched forums with "wi fi home network connection problems"?????

Help please.

Yep, upgraded firmware on my Netcomm N6plus4 ADSL2+ modem router.

Still no joy. tried changing security between WEP/WPA etc and even no security. Still no joy.

What i am finding is the phone seems not to be getting an IP address as it goes to the bit saying "obtaining ip address from..." and then says "unsuccessful".

What basic settings on my router should I be changing or playing with?

sorry if you already said this but what phone is it? Did you say it was original droid? My incredible did the same thing, BUT the firmware upgrade did the trick. Have you been to support forums for your phone? Your problem would get way more views that way.

OK thanks , it's a XT701.

What should I be calling it? It's kind of a Milestone I think, but software keyboard. nice...

Possibly a milestone.... but that has a hardware keyboard... hmmmmm. Not sure, i'm sure it's listed here somewhere though,
