Limewire. Of course, only the legal music that's listed there, none of the ones with copyright =D. As for viruses and problems, I've been using it for many years and just was smart enough not to download the songs that were like, 1 KB or had the name XXX PORN next to it.
thanks for the info guys.. I was trying to use limewire, but for some reason after i downloaded it wont connect and i cant figure out why so i was hoping to find something like limewire
I also made the switch from a 3gs, but I also jb'd and unlocked it and sold it for $100 more than I paid for it a year ago.
Android phones always intrigued me, but ATT never had any good ones, backflip I heard was complete garbage, so when I saw the captivate,... I sold my 3GS within a day..... lovin Android
haven't used the "wonder machine" yet but the youtube video looks simple enough. I was able to get tunee through appbrain.com a few weeks ago. but now the app is completely gone from there.
Tunee is awesome. Basically like limewire but for your phone. You can preview the whole song if you want to. After downloads they show up in my music player automatically. Really simple and great app.
I was working a bit with doubletwist last night, it was nice but it buggered up my song name, album, artist, etc so everything was set up rather bizzare on my phone. Annoying, but I'm sure its something with how my song details are set up in itunes.
I switched from iPhone as well. Amazon is cheaper then apple, no DRM, and easy to do.
Media Monkey syncs well (DoubleTwist caused me nothing but pain), but most Android phones have problems with ID3 tags in M4A (AAC encoded songs). I have found I have to use the ID3Tag app to remove all tags and put them back - the M4a files transfer artist and album art.
I switched from the I4 for a Cappy and the best music app I downloaded and may help you was iSyncr, simple designed user interface lets me sync podcasts, music, playlists, video, all with album art, etc... hope this helps
The main reason i switched is I love the bigger screen and the Iphone was having alot of probs with dropping calls. Droid seems to be the new up n comming thing and will soon out do apple. I now have alot more options now that that I rooted my Captivate and so far i have not looked back.
