Help Facebook for Android update

So Facebook for Android finally got updated tonight and I've got problems. Ever since I updated it its been giving me 100% awake times, anyone else experiencing this?

yea i did the update as well and now my widget is broken lmfao this is b.s. and when i click on a notification it sends me to the browser wtf is this crap

I have had issues sharing pages since having updated....on older version...it worked..pretty simple....now it doesnt even load up the app when trying to share a page....WTF......anyone else having this issue??

It's working well for me, but it doesn't terminate properly when you back out of the app. You have to kill it.

well I'm not about to kill it as I shouldn't have to, you'd think an app that is native to our phones would be coded well enough to actually sleep properly, I never saw this issue before.

having issues as well... my battery went from 90% at time of update to 2% after 2 hours... i unstalled but now my phone is having an issue holding up a charge

hmm i seem to not have any problems that you guys are talking about and i actually think it is great, the only think i dont like is when you tap on a notification, it saends you to the web but other than that i have no complaints

Have you checked your Partial Wake time with BatteryHistory or SpareParts?

I just checked...my awake time has been going since i updated.....wtf...

It's easy to revert back to the old version. Just uninstall in the market downloads section and it will revert back to the old version.

It's better than it used to be but there's no reason why I click a notification that it forces open FB on my browser. Stuuuuuuupid lol.

yeah im all good, i did have 100% wake time but thats cuz i just flashed a new rom but once i did a reboot im back to normal. ive noticed with my hero that im not having all of the problems everyone is talking about *knock on wood*

What Rom do you use? I flashed darchdroid over the weekend and even after the FB update, I rebooted, but that didn't fix a thing.

zenherofx 2.0 that thing is rediciculously amazing lol its so fast and i thought fresh was good, this blows it away no lag whatsoever

OK, I'm puzzled. I saw the info about the update on Facebook. What the heck is this? Asked a co-worker who is very savvy about the Hero and he didn't know either. How is Facebook for Android any different than just using a browser like Opera or Skyfire?
Also, I can't seem to locate it in the market - I'm still on 1.5, could this be the reason?

I don't think it was native on 1.5 like it is in 2.1 but I believe you can still download it from the market.

please can someone help me. I have the HtC Android. My notifications sounds stopped letting me know about new notifications on fb. I have to check occassionaly if I have any notifications and as always there are some there but now about 2 hours old because I wasnt notified by the sound. Can someone please help me.

greenfields: FWIW, I'm still on 1.5 and I'm not even sure what Facebook for Android is - I don't think it's available for 1.5 - I simply use a browser to access FB. But I also stopped receiving FB notifications a few days ago - I wonder if this is a FB issue then.

The marriage between Facebook and Android really needs to shape the F*ck up! I am getting sick of the SHIT-ass apps that FB puts out on the market.

To sum up, my phone has been lagging a lot since the new facebook update 1.3.1,

I noticed facebook had synced 20000 new contacts into my phone (compare to 400 existing google+phone contacts). And it now has 10-15 duplicate facebook entries per contact. Really frustrating

Lol I made this thread for a reason, you should uninstall the update, there are many problems.

I'm left with 18000 duplicate entries. Seems like every contact was duplicated 80 times.

Glad I don't update or use the shitty FB app for our phones. the website will suffice until they actually put out something good. lol
