Pay apps question

I've had my Hero for about 24 hours now but thinking about upgrading to the Evo but I want to know if I buy any apps and then switch to the evo do I need to download them and buy them all over again?

if that's the case I will wait before buying any of them

No...Once you buy them, there yours. I have had a Droid, a Incredible, a EVO and all the apps are available for download once you buy them.
