Help After 2.2 update phone is now gettin only 4 hours battery life??! strong wtf??

Is this happening to anyone else? sucks man...This is my second handset was flawless until this most recent update. After my phone comes off from a full charge it will die after 4 hours, no exaggeration! I have already tried closing the unwanted "syncing apps" still no good. What the heck should I do?

And note the Errata and warnings at top as well.

Several people are reporting the new facebook update seems to be a culprit, another reported the Engadget app was resource-hogging, while another reported a problem with a wallpaper app biting them.

However - a number are also reporting that following those steps led to to restoration and even significant improvement in battery life.
