Nope, haven't had a need to go to landscape since I discovered Swype. It's much too easy in portrait. :)
I'm so used to texting and navigating websites in landscape, this could be a rough transition

I'll try it out and see but may try to revert to a newer version of the Droid X keyboard, I was really happy with that one (other than it's failure to capitalize i, what an odd problem to have)

That's funny actually because I hated doing the landscape mode, even with my Touch Pro. I had horrible problems with the virtual keyboard on the Evo before Swype that I was using my Blackberry on my other acct to text people. But when I got Swype, I got rid of the BB and now I'm golden.

I've been using swype since I got the evo, and I know people swear by it. But just for kicks, I went back to shapewriter ( which i used to use on my Hero ) and man, shapewriter is so much sicker than swype imo.
I know people swear by swype and claim its more accurate but i type waaay faster on shapewriter and would suggest anyone having problems or not liking swype to give it a shot.

Shapewriter seems to be just like swype.... I really didn't like swype at first but now that i've got used to it, I love it!

Glad you got it installed, this its a must-have app for me.

For others, if you go to that link with the evo, you can download it directly and install it.

Go to what link?

I opted in for the beta but it was after they closed it, i found a link here on the forums but after installing it i got an error saying that it was for a different size screen, I went searching again and found a link to another EVO forum in a thread on this forum called "i want Skype" downloaded and installed and it works excellent, I never knew what i was missing! Skype is my keyboard for sure, and I'll be buying it for sure.
