Accessories Droid X Case Comparable to Sena UltraSlim?

I currently have an iPhone 3G (Droid X will be in tomorrow), and I really want a case comparable to the Sena UltraSlim. I have one for my iPhone, and I like to have the phone naked while I'm using it but protected while in my pocket, car, etc.

Does anyone know of a case comparable to the Sena UltraSlim (leather slip pouch, minimal thickness added) for the Droid X?

I have emailed Sena asking them about a Droid X line, but they said they had no plans at this time and future demand may change that.

They have one for the HTC HD2...in theory it would fit the Evo 4G as well, but it might be a bit snug for the EVO due to the extra thickness (WiMax, kickstand etc).
The Droid X might even be a closer match to the HD2 than the Evo, so that'd be one thing to consider.

I have that particular Sena case for my Droid 1 and I love it! Right now I'm holding off on a DX purchase due to the lack of decent slim pouch cases & also wanting to see how much bulk is added by the Motorla high capacity battery & replacement battery door.

I believe the EVO is wider as well. I think the best option would be the HD2 case and have the X stick out a little on top, but I don't really want to spend the ~$30 for a case that isn't designed for my phone and have to buy a new one again once it (if it) comes out.

I think for now I will just go naked and be careful. When I am using it the case would obviously not be on anyways, so it's just in my pocket and sitting on my desk where I would be using a slipcase. My concern is that Sena isn't going to have cases for awhile, so that's why I was asking if anyone knew of something similar that is already available for the X.

I guess the Incredible has only been out for a few months now and it has an UltraSlim. Does anyone know when the Incredible UltraSlim became available? (i.e. how long after the phone was released)

The X will probably fit pretty well in the Sena ... at first. I had the iPhone 3G version of this case and it was really tight at first, but after awhile it loosened up so much that the iPhone wouldn't stay in the case if you turned it upside down. Because the HD2 is wider and thick than the X, I imagine over time the case would be much too big.

Yeah, we found these too. They're ... alright. The bags are about half an inch longer than the phone, which makes it look kinda weird. They are really just to protect against scratches.

I recently found this. It certainly appears more sena-ish, but I can't vouch for it's quality.

I have the suede case, and it does the job but isn't anything fancy. I find it harder to remove the phone quickly, but that could just be me.

The one mentioned above looks promising, but I know nothing about the company and don't want to spend the ~$20 if it won't be any better than the suede. I wish Sena would hurry up and announce cases for the X.

Guys, my Droid X is on order (placed the order on the 5th) so I figured I'd go ahead and stock up on a few accessories. Fortte has a pretty nice looking vertical pouch case out now. I like that you can choose all sorts of options for configuration--velco or magnetic clasp, wide array of colors, and whether or not you want a belt clip or a shield emblem.

It does look thicker than the Sena case but it's comparably priced and does have cutouts for microUSB & HDMI plugs.

I had a Fortte case that I custom-ordered for my Treo 755p about 2 years ago and it was pretty sweet. The leather was quite nice but it did eventually deteriorate a bit around the clasp area. Based on my old Treo case here, I'd say the Fortte material is definitely thicker and more rigid than Sena's material. I'd go with Sena if it was available now but the Fortte case IS nicely made even if it is bulkier. Not sure I want to risk my $ on a HD2 case that might stretch out too much over time.

Here's a Fortte YouTube video of the case in action:

Another update on Fortte's Droid X cases: They have added several new models. There are now a total of 8 Droid X cases from Fortte!

I just ordered their slimmest "pouch" type case (.7" depth) which actually uses a snap button closure instead of a magnet. It's called the STiL Vertical and looks pretty sleek. The snap closure design should give more security than velcro while keeping it as thin as possible. It came out to $37.95 shipped. I'll post here whenever I receive mine...I did a custom config with no belt clip and no metal shield on the front, so I am sure it'll take several weeks to manufacture mine & ship it. I wish they had some kind of expedited service b/c I'd love to have a decent case sooner rather than later. This looks to be the closest possible match to my beloved Sena cases that's out right now from a reputable company.

UPDATE: Just got my confirmation email from Fortte. 3-4 weeks for the order to be built and then shipped to their warehouse hen has to be shipped to be from there. Ugh. I would've gladly paid a $10 premium for an expedited order or an in-stock case without a belt clip. Oh well. I guess i will carry my X in a sock or somethig.in my pocket in the meantime. No pointnin giving VZW $25 for an intermin case that i wouldn't even be happy win and that would add too much bulk to the device.
