Hope this doesn't affect us...

I JUST finished reading that about a minute ago.

I added 'froyo' to my Google latest search so I can see something on the DI as soon as it gets posted. I thought flash was going to be added on a later date from the market? So couldn't they still release 2.2 without a flash update until things get worked out?

Well, VZW wouldn't announce a stoppage of updates for HTC phones because they haven't officially announced updates for HTC phones.

That said, Flash was a big selling point of Froyo (whether it's from the manufacturer or Google) so I'd guess this would apply to HTC.

THAT said, Fro and Flash is on the EVO so what we hear on that front, if anything, should tell us more.

Oh, and I bet Steve Jobs just peed a little.

This doesn't make any sense at all and is most likely just a rumor. I just did a google search and everything I found links back to this site. And of course, this site doesn't list any sources.

Seems there is a problem between Google and Adobe concerning flash, rights, and royalties.

That's the part that really doesn't make any sense. If it's a problem between Google and Adobe, how were they able to release it for other phones?? They "problems" would have been worked out before ANY updates were released, for ANY phone. It wouldn't effect "just motorola" or "just verizon".

exactly.

we already have flash and froyo. if and when the ota comes its not going to be any better then what we have now.

Not sure I agree with that statement. If the reason the ota hasn't hit yet is because of a few more bugs or performance issues then doing the same thing he did with the 8/1 leak with the official is going to be better.
