....what are the three main things you tell people you prefer about your Nexus One compared to other phones?

Most of my friends seem surprised that I got a Nexus rather than an iphone. I try to explain that I don't want to be tied into a big company and that I like to have the freedom that Android gives me but I'm not very eloquent. I don't really, if I'm honest, know what I'm talking about but like to follow my gut feelings which on the whole are unfathomable! I just love my Nexus but seem to be unable to explain why!

So, can I steal some lines off you guys please?

I believe there are two main groups of people - those who like to be told what to do, and how to do it; and then those of us who like the android phones and the freedom to tweak the phone as we would like. The iPhone is a great phone for those people who don't want to spend any time setting the phone up to work for them, and the iPhone has been designed so that it will give everyone a good experience. The android phones, especially the nexus one, is made to be customized to give the individual the best experience possible for that individual.

Both great phones, and as Google or the manufacturers/carriers refine the interface, hopefully the android phones can better fit the masses.

I just love my Nexus but seem to be unable to explain why!

2. Google maps navigation
3. Updates always come first
4. Great look and feel
5. Android openness vs Apple lockdown

No two droids(android) phones are alike. I know other nexus owners that are family and friends and each of us has a completely different phone from the other, its actually exciting to pick each others phone up and see the set up and cool apps that i have not tried yet, and thats not just the nexus one but really and android owner

I support the open source movement whenever possible. I don't like some big corporation telling me what I can and cannot install on my own device. I like that Google allows it's developers to distribute their applications (and their users to install) in any method that they choose (does not have to be through the marketplace). The list goes on....

1. 3.7" touchscreen that doesn't feel too big.
2. Phone feels great in hand, solid, robust industrial construction, thin.
3. Always the latest firmware/app updates first.
4. Google experience at its best. Google Apps pack + Openness.

1 of the main things is the removable battery, the fact i can get it insured via my tmo, it willl get ginger bread first, and believe it or not but alot of apple and blackberry users i run into are in love with my TIKL app
