Help PRO Zoom Camera 5x

Have you tried taking the picture in various ways? You can take a picture by either:

1) Touch and hold the screen when you have the shot lined up
2) Press the camera button if the phone has one
3) use the volume buttons
4) press the trackball if the phone has one

We have tried the app on the Samsung Moment and it works. We are trying to improve it on that phone though - it has a few issues on the Moment.

chibucks,

We do have a trial version. Download "PRO Paint Camera" for free. It has many but not all of the features of "PRO Zoom Camera 5X". The biggest difference between the two is that the free one has no zoom feature.

Shane

thanks shane! playing with the app... i'm actually enjoying this quite a bit compared to the
native camera...

A couple of thoughts/questions
1. The moment's optical trackball doesn't take pics
2. Is there a way to incorporate the camera flash?

Just an update to this thread. We updated our apps recently - they have new UI and much better support for Samsung Moment, Hero and Droid.

For example flash controls work great and Hero users get ISO and Meter controls while Droid users get Scene settings.

I originally bought Camera Zoom FX (first Android app purchase), but the lack of flash support. slight instability and over complicated ui have irked me. The updated CameraZoom 5x makes me regret that first purchase. Nice work, easily a replacement for the default camera (FX is not!). Now, how about a panoramic mode? That's the one thing I miss from my old TP camera.

I purchased Snap Photo Pro. It's great, with some very unique capabilities. But didn't realize that it lacked flash support until my 24hrs had expired:eek:

It does have flash support for the Samsung Galaxy, so I figured that they would update with support for the Samsung Moment... but not yet:(

Good news, just got word back from the creator, he said he's working on the flash support right now :). I love this app, finally I will be able to set it as my default!

nice. what are some of the features that are different with the camera app you're using? pro zoom 5x has flash working, which is nice. :)
Here's what I have noticed so far...
-It has a horizon line toggle, so that pics are always straight.
-It has a stability control option (automatically takes the pic when the camera is held perfectly still, so the pics do not blur) with sensitivity options.
-Photo editing options, and not just the Effects, Props, and that junk, but color balance and white balance to fix any washed-out photos that I have never seen yet:p (b/c there's no flash yet) and other touch-up options that I haven't gotten into yet.
-Many option are available on a quick slider, so you don't have to dive into the options menu.
-It has Photo-booth mode (allows several pics to be taken back to back to back automatically, so you can pick the best one) and to set the delay between the photobooth shots.
-Manual or Auto focus options.
-Whitebalance (different than the color balancing options).
-Anti-Banding (I have no idea what that is?).
-A self-timer for regular pics.
-And a 'night shots' option (I dunno what that is supposed to do either, b/c it's not green night-mode).
-Plus an easy button to swap over to video.

Though I think my favorite option is the stability control. I click the button to let it know that I want to take a shot, then just concentrate on holding the thing still (no micro-twists or movements trying to queeze the button while holding it still). Once it's completely still it automatically takes the shot;)
