Accessories headphones for Evo

i love to listen to music and i was looking foward to get me another Ipod, i have 2nd generation skip the 3rd one and thinking of getting the 4th or 5th, but then again i hate to carry 3 devices wirh since i hate to carry my evo my work phone and an Ipod, so i want to get some really good headphones, i have the ipod touch headphones but they don't woth with the evo, i'm looking for some headphone to control volume, skip songs, and turn on the music app is there anything like that for the evo?

Really good headphones? If you want music quality, the first thing you need to do is dump the idea of using bluetooth.

Mm ok that's fine I dont need Bluetooth but what else is out there that works as like the ipod headphones on evo

So are you drawn to the functionality of skipping tracks, etc or is sound quality more important? I don't recall my iPhone headphones having that functionality you are describing, but I never used them because they don't sound good at all.

It doesn't look like they have inline music controls, but there is an inline mic. I've been using a pair of UE SuperFi 5's for a long time. They are the best I've ever heard!

I saw some similar UE's at my local Best Buy, so look there, or for a good deal try Amazon.

FWIW, I'd go with sound clarity over inline control functionality every time.

I have these and love them, There is a plug that comes with them so you can plug it right into the 3.5 audio jack, it also comes with a wall charger and a usb charger. Granted they arent super high quality, the sound is really good IMO.

We can all point you in a bunch of general directions, but it's all subjective. a) What type of headphone are you looking for? IEM, Earbuds, Cans, etc. and b) What are you looking to get from a set of phones? Do you want bass, treble, good soundstage, sound detail, warm sounding, insulation, etc.

The general consensus is the Head-Direct RE0 ($79), Fischer Audio Eterna ($59), and Head-Direct RE2 ($39.99 with the E5 amp, alone they are really light on bass, but the amp kicks it up a ton) are the best bang for you buck (sub-$100). Here is a great list of reviews, ranging in price from sub $50 to $300.

I would highly recommend getting

these buds. I got them a few weeks ago and instantly fell in love. Great quality, never fall out, and you can pause, skip forward, skip back, and control volume with a slider. It even has a microphone so you can take calls with it, and the use that same button to answer and hang up.

OK, to be honest, I've been using them with my iPod this whole time. I just tested them with my Evo. With the default music player, none of the controls work except the volume control. With Cubed, pause works, skip forward works, volume works, but skip back appears to just skip around for a few moments, and then pick a random song.

With calls, it's an even sadder story. Ringtones will play through the headset, but you can't answer. But you can control volume and hang up. Maybe I'm pressing the wrong buttons (shoulda read the manual), but I've tried every combination of holding and clicking the button I could think of.

So take from it what you please. I'll tell you one thing- they work great with my iPod!

thanks man they came out to be $40 after coupon and free shipments yeah I usually use my ipod too but I got tired of carrying Si many devices , I just got a bigger memory card for the evo and an extra battery in case the other doesnt last me and im good to go , I just going to way for next year ipod unless they improved musicplayers on phones
