Has anyone else downloaded this app. And if so what was your results using Verizon and not wifi.

My scores were:
Download- 15kbs
Upload- 45kbs
My pings average 19 to 36
I don't know if these are good or bad since I'm new to verizon so figured I would ask and compare.
WITH WIFI I GET
DL-500+
UL-100+
JUST FIGURED I'd through that in the mix also.

What? Triple post in under 15min? The thread was moved, what, yesterday? Right? This isn't instant messaging. This is a forum board. People make posts when they're awake or available. We aren't here 24/7.

Anyway, in regards to your problem, you shouldn't have such slow speeds if you have a 3G connection. The results you posted are extremely low. My 3G connection where I live is a bit slow sometimes depending on when I'm connected and specifically where I'm at in the area, but it's never quite that slow.

If you're using the SpeedTest.net app, try picking a closer server. Your 3G connection may very well be a decent speed, but the server that you're using is slow or is too far away. The application is supposed to automatically pick the server closest to you, but who knows for sure. Try other speed test applications if you can. Do web pages generally load slowly? Basically, don't only rely on the SpeedTest.net app. There are other methods of figuring out your Internet speed(s).

If you're simply in a bad 3G coverage area, then there isn't much you can do. If that's the case then there's technically nothing wrong with your 3G connection, other than the fact that you barely have one. So yeah, where you live may be what's causing your slow 3G speeds.

Post back and let us know how the other tests go. :)

Thanks for reply man I am just really frustrated with verizon and now I'm stuck with them for two years. I had posted a couple days ago that I had lost connection all together for a day could not make calls anything even with full bars. Verizon said after hours of trouble shooting and what not that it was because they had bought alltel awhile ago and they were updating servers and what not for the new service lte. (thank god I have a land line)
Anyway after finally getting it to connect again by driving 55 miles to another town on my way to a verizon store I have had nothing but a slow phone ever since, even with full bars.
I think I may have found out why I have full bars but no speed though. When I did the ##program on the phone it shows that I am using US Cellular tower that only has 800mhz power. Since USC is not really anything more then calls and texting there tower cant handle the info. at least I think this is why I show full 1x and 3g bars depending on the day but have slow data. I could be wrong so feel free to correct me.
The biggest thing that irks me is that the tower is 4 to 5 miles if that from my house and verizon claims I'm on there tower and that I use 3g all the time. Since I bought it from wirefly.com I only had 15 days to return phone and cancel service without getting the fees from them.
Just to recap my experience with verizon
1st week or so fastest phone ever owned
2nd week got update phone still good but not like at first and crashed and rebooted couple times. Then one day no service.
3rd Week slow as two turtles f...ing
I think will call wirefly today and rma the phone before the 30 days are up and I have to pay the insurance premium.
