Verizon's Roadmap for the rest of 2010

In my humble opinion, I think Apple has made a big strategical error. If I were Steve Job, I have to be thinking of 100% market penetration. [...] Apple should let Verizon Wireless in about a year ago.
Verizon will have an iPhone when their new 4G network will do phone and internet at the same time. Steve Jobs will not allow an iPhone to have what is in all honesty a true fault, that Apple and AT&T have long marketed against.

I don't think verizon really needs the iphone anymore. Apple had the chance to be the big guys they missed it and google picked it up. Now that the iphone turned out an epic fail for att because of how much data it consumes nobody is really impressed by it and all those apple fan boys are now on a limited 2gb traffic plan. That wouldn't last me 2 days.

Well, I think it could go two ways. VZW decides it needs to expand the user base and gets the iPhone, which WILL make people jump ship.

Or, VZW decides it doesn't want to have both iOS and Android in the same store cannibalizing sales, and doesn't want to piss of Motorola, especially, and risk losing the tons of devices Motorola has in store for them.

iPhone is not what it was a few years ago. Now its not news anymore and Android had almost all the feature's when it came out vs iOS 4 thats supposed to be so advanced. Yes you have to give Apple credit for making a revolution in smartphones but that was years ago. It had its "rock star" moment, now it needs to move over because Gingerbread is coming to town soon!
