just figured i would let you know... modaco's rom fixes it too but ive heard its buggy...

you will need a rooted hero so read up on rooting your hero

Maybe the title should be changed to 'Workaround for apps missing in market'. Until Google updates their authorized roms database to include the post update rom on the HTC Hero we will continue to not see the protected applications.

you will if you flash to fresh rom... it FIXed it for me... but your right Htc did not submit their new thumbprint to google or google did not put it in the system... but if you want your apps in the meantime switch to fresh and flash back later if you wish...
*EDIT* i should mention you have to flash to stock first to fix market issues so some of you may want to hold off if you can

A good fix would be for the developers to turn off copy protection for the time being. However I know of at least one developer claiming that it's impossible but I digress....

lol i had a dev tell me that too... or rather it would break his app

After speaking with the developer he has removed protection and it's back in the market. However he does say if there is update issues for current users he will be forced to add it back on.

Show the guy some support and take a look at Pure Calendar Widget

I'm the guy who patched the MoDaCo rom to include the update and workaround the rom fingerprint issue I'd just like to say that the bugs should have all been worked out. The key is following my installation instructions.

Fresh rom is just as good and I have a lot of respect for the team developing it. It's just a different avenue to work around the issue.
