OK, I did the update and am now having the following problem(s):

The call button and contacts button/tab on the bottom of the screen are not working right. I have to hit them repeatedly to get them to open the applicable screen. If I go through the root menu, I can access them fine. But trying to use the tabs is now hit or miss. I tried it on my wife's phone (who also did the update) and it's doing the same thing.

Anyone else???

Hmm, great - guess we are the only ones. Is there a touch screen sensitivity option or recalibration setting anywhere? I've looked and can't find any way to adjust it. I've tried "re-booting" the phone a few times and it's still doing it.

Had the same problem. Pull the battery and leave it out for a few minutes. Then put it back together and see if it works.

After trying to use the android keyboard for the devour when I first got it, I immediately switched to swype. The landscape keyboard was inaccurate and lagged like crazy. Now, just for kicks, I tried the android keyboard again and it's a lot different. More space between the keys, more accurate, doesn't lag at all. I like it wayyy better than the old one.

Anyone know if this keyboard was updated with this system update?

yesterday, i was at a verizon kiosk and the worker asked if i did the update,so i obviously did thinking it could be 2.1, or by some amazing chance, 2.2. after i asked about the update he said it was going to be 2.2 since they were rolling it out to all android devices on verizon (i knew better, but again got my hopes up. after installing for a few minutes, my phone crashed. it was in limbo between on and off. the screen has been stuck on the plain white screen with the motorola M on it, noot even a flashing "blur" so verizon is sending me a refurbished phone...ughh...i swear i know more about Android than 75% of Verizon smartphone "specialists." and does anyone know how i can get all my contacts onto my next devour? it seems as if ill lose them all, but i heard i can use google? not sure since it has MOTOblur.

Your contacts should be saved to google if you had a gmail account listed in motoBlur. When you get your new phone and log into your account it will sync them to your contact list.
