Do any other previous Hero users miss the glowing trackball notifications?

It was one of my favourite things about the Hero...the glowing trackball looked so cool...and was easily recognised, unlike the Desire which just has that tiny green light that flashes...BUT the huge flaw with that is that if you are charging your Desire, it glows orange to show its charging but DOESN'T glow green to say you've got s text. So if you're charging and don't notice your text tone (or have it on silent) you wouldn't know you'd got a text.

You 100% sure?...mine normally does flash unless I'm charging.

Think of it another way...it uses the same led light so how can it glow orange to show its charging AND glow green to say theres a message?

Yep 100% and just plugged it in now to double check. I am using handcent as my sms app so that could have something to do with it.

So if u have a text , how does it indicate that its charging still?

On mine if charging and I get a text ( handcent user) the LED goes pink.

What I miss most is a trackball that actually works LED or not!

Handcent has it's own independant notification settings. You can even specify the colour of the LED to flash, so your phone isn't faulty.

I don't have handcent and mine doesn't flash when I receive a text during charge. Stays solid orange. I think it's a handcent thing (or rather, your phone isn't broken spenspuma).

i miss my trackball (clit) yeah

although the desires are generally better, just wish that little bit in middle lit up
