Well just spoke with a Best Buy/Verizon Employee and he informed me that they usually get mock-ups of new phones a month in advance of launch , no HTC Passion as of yet he said , that is if it is going to launch in Mid December .
So is the Passion forbidden fruit ?
I love the HTCs but no 2.0 on the Eris turns me away and the camera on the Moto Droid is a no go for me as well .

There is the new fix for the camera thats out.



But i'm waiting for the passion too..

I wanted the htc hd ever since it came out, but it never made it to the usa.

Now the Htc hd2 = passion / dragon = drooool

I realized that i'm used to using the touch screen for typing and the physical keyboard is not my real concern any more.

No d-pad, Yay for the trackball

I'm patiebtly waiting to hear some "real" news. At this point it will be such a dissappointment if this phone doesn't drop on Verizon.

Nov. 27. The original rumored possible release of the Passion.

Verizon has 2 Droid phones that were released on the same day already. I think it should be a while before they release another one. I want to say next year.

He's incorrect, I worked in Best Buy Wireless for a year and we never got mock-ups of new phones a month in advance of their release. Best Buy is lucky if they actually HAVE the most anticipated and cutting edge phones with tons of hype around them when they actually launch. A major trend I always saw was any majorly hyped phone typically was only in Verizon Stores first (or any respective carrier store), and we would get it within a few weeks of that. Earliest I saw us receive a new phone was like a week in advance.

Not saying this is anything indicative or not for the passion. I'm waiting on it as well, and I think we need to wait until mid-decemeber. There was some Verizon business plan that said they are launching more in mid-december, can't remember where I saw it. Eris is my backup if Passion doesn't pan out, I looked at it in the stores and really liked it.

Well not a blip on the screen , no word of a HTC Passion , FAIL !
Droid it is then ordered today , it will be here soon .
