Hi I have had my fone for about 6 weeks and last week it completely crashed on me and I was left with a pink circle in the middle of the screen, no matter how many times I removed battery, sim card or memory card nothing else happened. My fone has now gone back to t-mobile who have had it for 1 week now.
Has anyone else experienced the same fault

Hello please note you are not alone with this problem!!! I have had my HTC Desire for 6 days off T-Mobile and today i turned it off as it had froze. Turning it back on i was left with a pink circle in the middle of a screen and my Desire would not pass this point, no matter how many times i tried rebooting without a sd card, sim or hard resetting no joy. I contacted T-mobile who ofcourse appeared to be aware of this fault and suprise, suprise no desires in stock so they offered me a replacement phone for phone rather than a new packaged box. So to my knowledge no fix for this

I have had my fone back for just over a week now as it took 3 weeks for them to repair. I am led to believe the only thing in the fone that wasnt changed it the outer casing. Fone seems to be working well the now but still wary that it will do it again, how come they didnt offer to repair your fone?

Only the outer casing unchanged? They may as well have just given you a new one.

Out of interest, given the issue re AMOLED displays - have you still got the AMOLED or have they replaced that with one of the new ones?

How would I know if it had changed I think I still have the same screen but not sure if I would know if it had changed.
Thanks

Good question that I don't know the answer to. Just done a little search and it appears no-one else knows either. There is a thread on here highlighting that it states on the box on a phone if it is AMOLED or not but that doesn't help you.

Given that I assume they would have told you if they changed it.

Yes it was the guy in the T-Mobile shop who said the whole lot had been changed and my point was the same why not give me a new one but he said none in stock so would have had to wait on a new one anyway.
Its working fine so fingers crossed it works fine til I get bored with it and something new comes along lol :D
