Hi Folks
Does anyone use Juicedefender??

I downloaded it the other day and first thought it was great, certainly improved my battery life, but after a while i noticed that i kept losing my data connection even with the screen switched on, and also as soon as i finish a phone call, i loose my data connection and it takes ages for it to reconnect!!,

anyone else had experience of this, or does anyone know of a similar app i could try??

Thanks

Pete :)

It takes work to get it configured properly, but yes it does what it's supposed to on my HTC Desire (2.1).

Takes work? All the more recent versions run a self-diagnostic setup on first installation, and the default time out's and values are hard to improve upon.

The best way to stop JuiceDefender working properly and causing some of the issues in this thread are if you change settings 'behind it's back' as it were, by toggling APN's on/off outside of JD so it has no idea about the state of the phone...

Thanks, i did run the setup as it stated, and in an area of good recpetion, but i havent been changing any "behind its back settings" :D i just have to wait 2 or 3 mins for it to reconnect, which is a pain in the

Some people love it and some people hate it.

I did not get on with it personally as firstly it did not make a massive improvement to my battery and it made my mobile connection really unreliable. I used to have to toggle airplane mode to get it back on which became slightly annoying at times. I have installed it and uninstalled it about 3 times since having my Desire so I have given it a chance.

Try it and if you don't get on with it then delete it.

I much prefer pressing my own buttons so have a page set up purely for power and settings :)

Yeah i know what you mean, perhaps i will keep it installed but disabled, that way if there are any updates it will notify me and i can try it again.

Thanks
