Root Fresh 3.1(FroYo) + No Task Killer =

much better bat life. so i have noticed a huge difference since i uninstalled Advanced Task Killer today. yes, there is a huge debate about if they work or not. in my person experience, it helped on previous Fresh builds. now that FroYo is out i thought i would try it without a task killer. i had Advanced Task Killer since Fresh 3.1 came out and i havent been happy with bat performance. since uninstalling it this afternoon, i have noticed a change in phone and bat performance. tonight i will get a good usb charge and see if see the difference tomorrow and will report back.

for what its worth, uninstall task killers and see if you get better performance.

i unplugged at 9a this morning to head to school. it is now almost 630p and i have 52% bat life left.

ive been unplugged since 8am and its 8pm, so 12 hours and i have an indicated 66% on fresh

maybe we rename it batt killer...i'm surprised no one caught it til now. good lookin out.

I am running it and haven't noticed it killing my battery. I can 1 1/2 days out of my bat consistently. I just hate how there are apps that strt up by themselves like Sprint Nav & music. Bat life not bad for me especially since coming from Treo 800w that i had to charge at least twice a day to make it 20 hrs.

i just installed Startup Manager | AndroidApplications.com and unchecked all those stupid apps! it does FC ever so often, but in the log run i think its gonna be worth it to keep those unwanted apps from opening. you can also add apps to startup. i have a grandfather clock that doesnt auto start, and now it does!!
