So I just woke up (its summer, I can do that, haha) and the bottom half of my X's screen is black/grey with green lines! This is the FIRST issue i have had with this phone. Picture is from the only other camera in the house, my crappy webcam, so its hard to really see. Anyone else had this? Did verizon help (especially if you bought it from their site) what should i bring to the store to get it replaced?

It looks like the LCD got alot of pressure on it, maybe internal crack?

It would most likely need to be replaced

Yeah that's what I thought, but it was fine at 4 am, I put it on the dock all night, and went to bed (when I finally shut my eyes it was still fine), my door was closed, and my cats were outside of my door somewhere so it wasn't them. I have no idea how it could have happened. But I guess I'm walkin up to the verizon store now, I'll be back later!

Maybe some humidity got to it? It IS Summer after all. :D Here in Omaha, NE, for nearly the past four months or so, our weather has been absolutely horrid. It's constantly over 80F and there's a ridiculous amount of humidity. It's to the point where I can't go outside and do any work, (only upside). It's actually difficult to breathe sometimes.

Honestly though, my guess is that it was probably just a defective unit, (screen). Good luck with the VZW reps. :>

Thanks man, I just got back, the guy said he never heard of it happening before, but he will order another one overnight shipping to my house for free. He advised me to return the dock because that may be the problem. NOW my problem is IT MAY NOT SHIP UNTIL THE 30th!!!!!!!!!!!! The bottom half of the screen still registers touch though, so i can get by on voice recognition for texting until then even though I can't read it before I send.

Oh god, the humidity here is so terrible! I live in North Carolina. It has pretty much stayed about 90+ during the day, dipping down to as low as 75 at night for about 3 months. I don't leave the house unless I have to.
