Hmm how do u get a group convo going? When I send a msg to two people will the 2 other people know who's in the convo and have will their replies be sent to the other person also?

Just a simple chat app that has permanent groups (with no icon always in the notification area). Where a bunch of people can chat, share pics, and audio. Like BBM that works on android/iphone/BB.

Does anyone have any more suggestions for an app i can try?

Google Talk is like instant messaging client, which you need to sign in and so on.

This works like SMS, you dont need to login. All you need to get your friends' IDs, you can send them messages like texts.

I travel internationally a lot....i'm in south korea at the moment actually. When i do this i swap back to my BB 9650 JUST to use bbm. In case some of you don't realize, if you are traveling internationally you will be charged per incoming and per outgoing text message. But using something like bbm is considered data where as a text message is not. So the bbm falls within your unlimited data plan which for international use is really cheap. If pingchat is similar to bbm in that it will be a "data" service and not sms then i for one will be all over this when the time is right.

Srsly though, I think my posts in this thread got wiped in the crash or whatever and since I see the Dev has popped in figured I'd ask a question. as soon as I signed up I was getting spammed? That made me uninstall, didn't try to add anyone, didnt give out my id and within 10 minutes a couple whacky conversations popped up. So how does that happen? Is it fixed? and when will it be available BB OS6?

Groups would be great, and yes all you texters txt is fine, but we used to have a lot of fun with bb messenger "back in the day" aught 8 I think it was when few had unlimited texting and BB ruled the earth.

Hey guys! This is like BBM in the sense it uses data so you can use it ANYWHERE in the world!

Spam eh? Thats weird - maybe you just had a common username that people test on. We will be integrating a block feature in a future update.
