Root New Pandora on Radioactive FroYo ROM

Good Morning,

I'm running Radioactive FroYo v1.8.7, and updated to the newest version of Pandora via the market last night.

After the update, Pandora won't launch, and immediately force closes.

Anyone else experiencing this problem, or is it just a freak occurrence on my device?

i am running a custom SDX rom, updated Pandora last night and now i am having the same issue!!! booooo.... i like Pandora. someone fix it!!!

I was just using Pandora last night with no issues. Not sure if I have the newest version of Pandora though. I'm using RadioActive Froyo 1.8.7.

Yup, mine forced closed too then all of a sudden it started up. When I tapped on the widget, it force closed again--Won't come off my notification bar -probably have to reboot my phone to get rid of it--Doesn't show up in ATM either.

Update: I uninstalled, it's gone. Too bad, hope they fix it soon.

Protip: if your apps are running fine, don't update them.

edit: I used to just update things because there was a new version, but then I realized i was just risking messing up something that worked, or doing something like turning Twidroid into Twidroyd

Agreed.

But when I do update them, I always back up the current version of the app and save that apk file before updating. That way if the update screws something up, I can go back and install the older version of the app.

Pandora was updated a couple days ago and now works fine.

It works fine, but now you can only skip 6 times (like online). I used to be able to skip 6 songs, back out to a different genre, go back in and have 6 more skips. You didn't have to wait an hour to get your skipping priviliges back...

I have the older version. I just cancelled my web space a few days ago so I'm not sure if this will share but I'll give it a shot. If it doesn't work shoot me an email and I'll send it to you.

so reading around the webz it seems that is is specifically the Moment that has incompatibility issues with the 1.4 update. below is a link to the 1.3 apk (from a thread on the sdx forums) i uninstalled and reinstalled from the link and now have pandora back up and running just fine... just one more kick in the balls as a moment owner.. jeeez...

Pandora 1.4.1 has been working fine for me. It came out a few days after I started this thread.

Make sure you get the latest update.

So yesterday I installed this older version of pandora and was back to the version I liked (1.3) Today it's back to the version I don't like (1.4) I didn't update the app, so I'm not sure how it went back to the newer version? do you have to uninstall pandora first before installing the older version? If so, how do you uninstall? It won't let me by going into 'manage applications'

I did see something in the settings about checking for updates... Maybe it updated itself?
