OK, I bought the Captivate on Aug 3rd, which gives me 30 days to try it out and see if it is a fit for me. Since I was coming from the Blackberry world and was bored and blue, needing something to do, I jumped ship and went to the Android, specifically the Samsung Captivate. I have not been experiencing any of the glitchs some have reported, but have experienced the email Huge Problem, but that has already been determined to be a Android OS problem, no fault of the Captivate. So I was holding out till today to see how the Torch with 6.0 OS would hit the streets. I thought for sure it would hit at $199.99 or more with a new 2 year contract, but NO, it is only $99.99. So what is the deal??
Well at this juncture, the Captivate is staying with me and me with it. I see no reason to leave a phone that has this much going for it only to throw all of that away and basically stepp back into the year 2007 with the Torch. The hardware is such a disappointment. I sure people will definately buy them, especially at that price. But once they see how little it impresses, there going to be returning them faster than they bought them.. I wish BB well, but I see the curtain coming down in the future, and not to distant..
My 2 cents!
