Help gmail no longer syncing - yes, Sync is checked

Yesterday I noticed that my emails from my phone were not getting sent. Today I noticed I had a bunch in my outbox that said sending. I have the sync turned on and all my other Google apps sync (Calendar, Picasa, Contacts) but gmail never updates.
I can't force it to send and receive either. And I can't remove my account to set it up again without doing a factory reset.

Any ideas why just my gmail is not syncing anymore?

BTW I tried to uncheck all sync options turn off phone and back on then check them again without any luck.

Why not? Click on Google in Accounts and Sync, then Remove Account. Then set it back up again. Only takes a minute, enter Gmail address and password and it's back up and running.

I tried that and it told me that other software requires the account and I would have to do a factory reset to remove he account.

I have the same issue. Can you still download from the market?

Yes, I have downloaded and installed apps fine. Looks like a factory reset tomorrow...

For those interested, it just started working this morning and sent and received everything from Sunday. I didn't do a thing, I assume it was a Google gmail issue?
