I have two important questions,
the first one being -> there is definitely going to be an upgrade to Android 3.0 for the Epic right? because it is a modern phone and gingerbread is supposed to come out in two three months. that would be some good news.

Also, I was wondering what are some great games that we can get on the epic to take dvantage of the 6 axis sensor and can most games be controlled with the physcial keyboard or is there no option like that? because it would be great to be able to play a game on the phone without taking up any screen space with your fingers

thanks in advance :)

Given the Galaxy S series has prob the best CPU/GPU combo with a great screen. I would think the hardware is capable of handling 3.0

Lets get Froyo first then we can discuss Gingerbread.

As far as gaming, there are no high end games that are made specifically for Android. The handful of decent games we do have are old iphone leftovers that have been ported over. Then there are the free game demos in the Android market that are kind of fun but really generic. Gaming on Android right now is pretty sad. I really hope that this changes though because with phones like the SGS line, there is a lot of potential for really good games. We will just have to wait and see.

I already knew about the PSX, NES game emulators. Im talking about mobile games made for Android. We have almost nothing compared to the games for iphone. Heck, windows phone 7 games are already being demoed. They will likely have more really good games at launch then Android. And Android has been around a lot longer. Thats what Im talking about..

I wouldn't say nothing, there are games being developed and Flash just recently came out to mainstream users who don't root so things will pickup. That said your comparing this to a much older platform, iOS which has been around for ages and had/has a spree of users thanks to the early smartphone adaptation the iPhone had.

FYI
I think you meant Mac OS, iOS or iPhone OS has only been around since 2007. Thats roughly the same amount of time as Android has been around.

Anyways, Im sure we can agree that mobile "phone" gaming at some point is going to become kinda important to consumers when selecting a new phone/platform. Im not saying that Android gaming is terrible, Im saying that its lacking real game development. I support Android because of its potential, I think its great and can't wait to further support it but making my Epic 4G purchase.

Android has so much potential in the gaming area because of the type of hardware that we are all seeing from the different manufactures but, it will take more than Adobe flash games to really help out Android gaming.
