FTP or PokerStars Poker App

Honestly tho, it would be a good idea as Android is open source and "gambling" would not be filtered. I have been thinking about this before.

They need to do it in such a way where you are not allowed to withdraw or transfer money.

Maybe deposit through Google Checkout or Paypal and that is IT.

And it could open many doors for Android development (HUDs, Sharkscope/OPR)

LOL if FTP was on Android, I would be playing tournaments 24/7.

I thought maybe if we werent able to transfer money on our accounts BUT still be able to play games with our account money it would work. I play Red Club Poker on my DInc and its fun but you cant play serious in a play money game. I would be in for a dumbed down version of either site, maybe i'll try contacting FTP or PS.

I had this related idea, but its vague at this point. But the idea is to make the app an interface to a online discount brokerage firm. Then your deposits are made to the brokerage, then the game play would be a slot machine, or a poker game where the odds were ultimately determined by the stock market. This way the app would feel just like illegal gambling but actually be legal gambling.

BTW, playing poker online has never been illegal. It is in a very few select states, but that is it. The UIGEA never made it illegal. The government wanted people to think it was, but the fact is that it was never made illegal.

Full Tilt Poker finally released their Android Rush Poker app to all their players this weekend. The new real money poker app works on all Android Froyo phones and according to this article (Full Tilt Release Android Poker App) the poker app will work on any smartphone that supports Flash 10.1 or later.

Up until now the app was in private beta testing and was only available to their high volume players.

It's surely only a matter of time now before PokerStars release their own Android poker app.

I tried it out, and it does work pretty good. The problem is I can only play when I travel because FTP now blocks you from playing real money if you are in WA state.

You can play real money poker on full tilts rush mobile, just requires an extra plugin. It's not available in the market yet, that I know of but can be downloaded directly from full tilt. Head over to my site droidhustler.com and click the tutorials link. I've compiled a walk-through. You dont need root access or any other bs you just download rush mobile and the plugin and play. You have to deposit via pc but you can play for real money on your Android phone. Glad I could contribute to the community. had I known so many people didn't know how id have made the tutorial and posted this earlier.

Anyone have this working on the xoom? I have flash 10.1 (July works etc.), but I just get a blank black screen from the full-tilt app.

I was playing PokerStars on my Samsung Galaxy Tab yesterday. Worked great.

I have a mini-laptop which I leave switched on all the time for torrenting. I installed PokerStars app on it and a VNC server (my favourite one is UltraVNC).

All I need to do is fire up the VNC client on my phone/tablet and connect to the mini laptop and fire up PS. The screen resolution of the laptop matches that of my tablet (coincidence) and it worked great. The check/raise/bet/fold buttons on PS are nice and big. Now that you can have pre-defined bet size buttons there too, that helped a lot. I have 50% of pot, 100% of pot and 200% of pot for after the flop, and 2x, 4x, 6, the big blind buttons for before the flop. It all works very well.

Chatting doesn't work all that well. I usually have "ty" pre-entered into the send text feature of the VNC client so I can at least send that if someone says nice hand to me.
