Sell me your Droid

Verizon is not allowing customers purchase Droids at full retail. So bascially if you want a Droid you have to sign up for a two year contract extension or add a line to your existing phone. Not sure if this is the case now, but Droids were selling for a nice coin on ebay and craigs list. This guy probably just wants a Droid without a contract.

Is that what the store(s) told you? I bought mine full retail from a corp. Verizon store. The reps lied because they make no commission off retail prices, only new additions and didn't want to waste their time (I asked about that when I bought mine).

To the OP: You can also buy it without contract on Amazon, and at Best Buy that I know of. May be others.

This is not true. You can purchase a Droid right now for full retail $559 direct from Verizon. Anybody that told you that you cant was just trying not to loose commission...
