Here are some more pictures...Sorry if they are bad shots
The case is from Verizon. I think it's called the silicon case

I got my extended battery also and thought id add some pictures....

the added bulk is so minimal that my Amzer silicone case fits on the phone fine with the extended battery so i am very happy with that....

FYI, tho the covers look almost the same,

*edit* - i tried to put the regular cover back on and with a little force it slide on.... i took it off and it doesnt look like it rubbed anything but i did notice the a spot in the middle of the lcd that looked like there was water under my screen protector but it was from the pressure of the battery being pushed forward by the smaller (regular) battery cover so i switched back to the extended cover....

Nice I have that same case and was wondering how it would fit, would like to know how long the phone lasts compared to the regular battery.

Is the battery 1930mAh or 1880mAh? Thought it was 1880, is the box just wrong?

Thanks guys for posting the photos! My extended battery should be coming in a couple of days. That little bit of extra bulge will not bother me a bit. Does the phone feel heavier with the new battery?

Probably too early to tell how much longer the battery lasts, but I'll be eager to see those reports coming in!

By the way, is there going to be a solution for charging either battery externally? It's nice having another battery, but we really need a way to charge it outside of the phone!

Got my extended battery two days ago. My phone is definitely lasting noticeably longer than it did with the stock battery, though I can't say precisely how much. The slight bulge in the back due to the alternate battery door is not a problem at all. The phone does, however, feel a bit heavier, which is also not a problem - just noticeable.

Now my only problem is finding an external battery charger so I don't have to charge both batteries in the phone!

Where the old back cover might work it could cause problems down the line. I have too many friends that are engineers. And they just love to talk about things like stress points. But where I could see it being a problem is heat. If the other cover gives just a small amount of room around the battery it could dissipate some heat.

Can't really comment on extra battery life since I've nowhere near run it down yet or tried to. The added bulk is completely a nonissue because of how small it is. I think the phone should have shipped with this instead of the stock battery, I think it's a straight upgrade with no drawbacks.

I suggest against trying to use the stock phone back cover with the new battery. It is not "snug" as some have reported, it is extremely tight and will very likely cause damage.

It looks as though the case was made to accommodate for the extended battery...you sure it won't fit?

Edit: I am referring to the Rocketfish case...

I thought that as well, but the case doesn't snap shut with the new door. I really liked the rocket fish case, but had to return it. Using the verizon silicon one for now until someone finds out if the seidio cases fit.

Oh...I forgot the add that the case already came with a slight bulge to accomodate the extended battery so it doesn't look any different from before

I disagree (assuming the case is the standard case....from your pic, I have the same thing in purple). If you are referring to the glossy silicon case the extended battery and supplied door does create a bulge/bowing out effect near the center of the phone. That slight bulge you are referring to in the case....if you take a close look at the standard battery it does in fact bulge out a bit from the back. The silicon case was designed to accommodate that bulge but not the aftermarket battery bulge.

Nice thing about the silicon is that it stretches. Perhaps with time it will conform to the battery. I'm afraid hard case owners will have a problem with the extended battery.

Looking at the other posts, it sounds like you got it to fit? Also, without having the cover on it, does that pose any potential problems? I have the rocketfish case and was hoping to get the extended battery too...

Edit: I see you were referring to the original case and getting it on.

Just went out to the VZW store and picked up an extended. Awesome. I have the rubberized case/holster combo made by VZW (the black one with the "parquet" design [kind of - if you have the same case, you know what I mean]). Anyway, believe it or not, the case fits nicely over the extended battery and the holster still works, albeit a little bit snugger. :D With 20% more battery capacity, what's not to like?
