Anyone into Beer Pong?

It's pretty lame. It's always a bunch of douche bags and girls with low self-esteem just trying to drink away their insecurities. I've seen it every time and it ruins what little fun playing basketball with SOLO cups and a ping pong ball has to offer.

It's so pathetic, there are people on Facebook who play beer pong with their families. No lie, grandma is taking down a Natty because grandpa can't see the cup with his cataracts. The parents join in on the fun as well. There's a whole album dedicated to this.

I know most well-to-do adults don't do these kinda things. It comes off as kinda...trashy.

How do you figure? Golf is an official sorry isn't it? Golf involves the consumption of alcohol.

What do you mean? If a golfer gets it in the hole in a professional tournament, he takes a drink? I mean direct consumption of alcohol... not like some celebration type thing.

There's nothing professional about beer pong. It would never be respected as a sport. I even checked out the website and umm... yeah that's definitely not professional. I can't imagine it having the same status as lets say... tennis or baseball.

To me... Professional Beer Pong would be the Jersey Shore of sports. No respect.

If you break it down... it's essentially throwing a plastic ball into cups. That requires a LOT of finesse, dedication, and hard work... you know... like tennis.

I play something every now and then called mystery civil war. It's basically hardcore beer pong. You can chase after your ball after you shoot and each cup is filled with random alcoholic beverages. It's 18-cup 3v3 by the way.

3v3, that's less booze for each person, that's no fun.

I don't need to worry about chasing after the ball cause I never miss, at least I didn't when I was in college when I played a lot ;)

Beer pong was definitely fun in college.. but it's truly disgusting if you think about it.

The ball is handled by many people, falls on the floor, drops into every cup, shares the same water rinsing cup..

I'm renaming it Germ Pong.

Yeah one of the casinos/bars I play at a lot does a weekly "beer pong" tournament, but there is water in the cups and people are not allowed to drink it for sanitary reasons. Not sure if they have to drink a beer or something from another source, I have never entered.

BTW, I preferred whiskey pong and the way I looked at it there was enough alcohol in the whiskey to kill off enough germs to make it acceptable. My immune system is pretty good anyways.
