Web Browser Crash

When I try to load certain webpages my browser will crash as soon as it loads 100%. An example gizmodo.com, it only happens with the full version of the site not the mobile version. It appears to be javascript related, because when I disable javascript the page will load without crashing. This happens both in the standard browser and in DolphinHD. Also, sometimes before crashing DolphinHD will show a page saying:

"The Web page at file:///android_asset/webkit could not be loaded as:

The requested file was not found. webkit/"

Anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas?

It doesn't seem to be a general crashing issue (though that may exist). It happens each and every time I load specific pages. I searched for this problem, and it seems to be happening on the vibrant and the droid x. Have yet to find a solution though. Thanks for responding by the way.

hey guys. new here. just got a captivate and noticed the same problem with gizmodo. sometimes it loads, sometimes it doesn't. this is always with the full site and there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason. it happens with one or two other sites i can't remember right now. also, with the phone in portrait mode, some of the content on ESPN.com doesn't show up. don't have an answer, but i dont think it means that those who haven't experienced the problem never will.

As Mentioned above, you can either disable Java or the plug-in options in the browser settings for the time being. We have fixed this issue and the soon-to-be-released Maintenance release includes this fix.

Thanks for choosing Samsung!
