Guys,

Help me out. I'm switching from a Blackberry Storm. Should I get the Incredible or the Droid X? My New Every Two is up tomorrow and I was grandfathered in so this will be my last $100 credit. Seems like a steal to get either of these phones for a mere $100 just not sure which one to get. I appreciate any advice.

We don't know what your needs/wants are so it's kind of hard to just blindly recommend which one would be the best fit for you. For starters though ask yourself these questions...

Do I want a smaller, lighter phone, or a bigger phone with more screen?
Do I want an LCD or an AMOLED screen?
Do I want Sense UI or a version of "motoblur"?
Do I want physical buttons or capacitive?

While these aren't the ONLY differences between these 2 phones, they ARE some of the major questions you'll need to answer in deciding which is a better match for you.

At the end of the day neither choice is a bad one as they're both top of the line Android phones on the best carrier!

If your NE2 still good in September, you might want to wait a few more weeks and check out the Fascinate (a Verizon variant of the Samsung Galaxy S) first, before making any decision. Go to youtube and you can find many videos on this sweet device.

p.s. I am currently using the Storm as well. :)

I'm in the same boat... current Storm 1 owner waiting for the Fascinate. It's not one of the options you listed but the Fascinate gets my vote.

you guys might also wanna wait just a bit longer and see what the deal is with the Droid Pro.
A device with a hardware keyboard will stay off my list. :) In my humble opinion, hardware keyboard is "old school". Software keyboard is the way of the future.

Frankly, smartphone is just like computer....the next one is ALWAYS better than the current model. You will never be able to buy anything if you want to wait for the best model. So you have to make up your mind at a certain point of time when you want to commit yourself and just do it.

I believe the Fascinate will be that momentarily cut off time for Verizon variants of Android phones.

Well, I like old school. I am weary of trying to use my phone outdoors in broad daylight and the screen is too dim to see. Can't make a call like that. Dinc is this way and DX not much better. So, I will hold out for the MoDroPro or if the Fascinate has a brighter outdoor screen, maybe that

Your New Every 2 @ $100 will stay that way until you use it. The only way I know of that you could lose it is if you were to cancel service and then come back. I have the Incredible and love it. To me it is just the right size, fast, and looks sweet. Played with a friends X for little bit the other day. The size still isn't that bad, but didn't like the screen (a little washed out compared to the Inc) and didn't like Blur on it, seemed a bit laggy. But all in all they are both great phones. But if you can wait, there should be some awesome stuff coming out from Fall to Christmas. Just a thought, hope it helps.

They're all gonna have that problem. I mean, you can crank up the brightness and it's easier to see (this method works on our Droids) but then you sacrifice battery life.

I hear ya. But w/ physical kbd I can at least dial a number!
Pardon me but shouldn't you be able to do voice dialing with Android phone? Or am I missing something?

Also, from what I have read, the SuperAMOLED works well in outdoor environment, much better than HTC Incredible's regular AMOLED screen. :) That's another reason why you should wait for the Fascinate.
