Please stop moving my thread

The minute I hear complaining about the work of a volunteer, I expect the complainer to stop, become a volunteer himself, and see about doing things as he sees fit. Until that time, you have no business opening your mouth.

Props to the mods.

You can't just become a 'volunteer'. You have to build a reputation and then apply or be chosen. So no, this isn't the salvation army. Nice try ;)

But your ill-informed rude remark aside (can't believe a moderator thanked a personal attack), it's nice having the proper threads moved to the right location.

Organization is good.

It's not a matter of moderation, it's a matter of keeping the forum less cluttered. Would you rather have a million similar posts clogging up the first page or do you like diversity and posts going to their proper place? I'm not being a smart-ass this is a serious question....
I only view the "Incredible" forum. If I post something here and it moves, I never see it again. If I see a thread I started was moved I just delete it since I'll never see it again after that.

seriously we have to split threads... let it be

Over moderation is never good. Less is more.

let me explain something to both of you.

The original thread was moved out of the main section originally because it dealt more into the accessories for the Incredible. When the OP complained about the move I stepped in to check it out and felt that it was basically two questions in one, unrelated to each other. Therefore to avoid a thread going into a long multiple discussion (as has happened in the past) thus causing confusion among the readers, I decided to split it. The part dealing asking about comparing the droid 1 to the incredible got placed in the main incredible
section. The other part dealing with accessories got moved to the accessories section.
Its called organizing. Not over-moderation. If I was to be an over-moderating type of moderator, I surely would...
1-not have to explain my actions,
2-could close this thread,
3-leave the original merged thread in its place
3-and Give out infractions for questioning a staff member.

On the other hand, I feel that the OP and the members at large should be told what has transpired and the reasons of why the thread was split. This keeps everyone in the loop.

If you still feel that I am over-moderating, thats fine. Everyone has an opinion. You can continue the discussion via pm to me or to my admin bosses.

Carry on.

I agree. And now you moved the "Hypothetical thread about not ever receiving Froyo". I do not wanna have to sort through 70+ pages to see peoples reactions to that question.

Not every post with the word "froyo" in it has to be in the "Official Thread"

Its really annoying.

It's the official Froyo 2.2 discussion thread, meaning it is all inclusive. By my interpretation of that anything and everything concerning Froyo belongs in there.

Regardless of the conditions that must be met to be a moderator:
volunteering is the practice of people working on behalf of others or a particular cause without payment for their time and services
Moderators, aka volunteers, should not be scolded for doing exactly what they are here to do.

The work of the moderators here is commendable.

I will just add that this forum is way over moderated and I honestly think it is a main reason it's rarely used anymore. JMO, but the activity of this forum would support my theory. Was totally excited about this place when I first received my phone but this place is dead.

Those sub forums are and always have been useless. Threads go there to die.

You do realize there have been over 5,000 posts on here since last Wednesday. That is NOT rarely used.

If you have that much issue with this forum, leave it. You'll be happier, we'll be happier...win, win.

I too, give props to the mods. With the sheer volume on here, this place could descend into pure anarchy very quickly, without excellent moderation. Kudos.
